“Everything was taken care of once we began our New Wave Trip—transportation, surfboards and wetsuits, surf spots, great look-out points, meals, etc... Rick told funny jokes and was a great surfing instructor. I especially liked the coast road, fish tacos and cold beer (I didn’t have to drive!) Heading to Mexico for the day is the perfect escape from the day to day in San Diego. All the hassle and uncertainty is lifted from your shoulders. All my friends had a great time, and we even made a few new friends along the way.” -John, San Diego, CA
“This trip has been very relaxing. It’s great to venture into Baja with a guide and to hand over responsibility. It’s a great way to visit Mexico because it is casual and un-touristy. I’ve liked the idea of having unique experiences with the culture i.e. off the beaten track restaurant, musical experience, hanging with Mexicans who talk about their lives. This is a great way to visit another country, another culture and not feel like a tourist.” -Jen, Brentwood, CA
“The trip was fun because it was laid back and flexible. Going with Rick was great because he knew exactly where to go."-Theodore, Ventura, CA
“The trip was an awesome experience. Even though I live 20 miles from the Mexican border, Rick was able to show me a whole part of the country that I had never experienced before. The surf instruction was great.”-Andy, San Diego, CA

Rick’s experience in teaching surfing and traveling in Baja made for a fun-filled, stress-free trip. From the surf spots to the restaurants, Rick knows Baja!” -Tom, San Diego, CA
“The trip was great! The drive from San Diego was beautiful, food was great…I loved that the beach we surfed at didn’t have any other surfers—or any other Americans, for that matter! Rick is a patient, confident coach for a beginning surfer. This trip is not only a great introduction to surfing, but a great introduction to Mexico—even for San Diego locals (like me!)” -Paige, San Diego, CA
“The Baja Surf Experience with Rick was the best part of our week in Southern California. To be able to visit another country so easily was great. Immersing yourself in another culture while learning to surf is a winning combination. Who knew the coast is so breathtaking? Rick has taken care of all the planning and details. It is so nice to be “along for the ride” knowing the small stuff is all thought out for you. I loved the fish tacos!” -Anne, Greenville, DE
