Why should I travel with New Wave Trip?
Our trips are a great value. There is no other surfing
trip, possibly in the world, that shows you so much coastline, so many different
places, and so many different surf spots. Our trips attract interesting people
who love surfing and adventure. We’ve done the trip before, made local friends,
and discovered fun surprises along the way.
Are there any age restrictions?
You must be at least 18.
What is included in the Trip?
Check the “Price & What is Included” link under “Trips”
How much money do I need to bring on tour?
Check the “other costs” link under “Trip Details”
How much luggage should I bring?
One suitcase/backpack, one carry-on for the van, and one bag with 1-2 surfboards.
How many boards should I bring?
You can bring 1-2 boards. We recommend a smaller board for
playful waves and a gun (about 7’) for the bigger days. Sorry, but we don’t
have room for more than 2 boards/person. If you break a board there are plenty
of opportunities to buy boards from other traveling surfers or in surf shops in
the cities.
What will the water temperature be like? Should I bring
a wetsuit?
No, it's tropical, you'll be surfing in boardies. We recommend bringing a rashie or long
sleeve top for sun protection.
What else will we be doing besides surfing?
Finding the best waves and surfing them will be the main
focus of the trip, however there will be many opportunities to do other
activities such as nightlife, kayaking, hiking, shopping,
boating, fishing, sightseeing, etc…
When do the trips begin and end?
Info coming soon
How do I book a hotel room the night before or after a
trip?
We can let you know what the name and number of our gateway
hotel is, and you call them to book.
How do I get to/from our gateway hotels in Puerto Vallarta/Puerto Escondido?
Info coming soon.
Do I need a passport or a visa or special permit to
travel to Mexico?
If you are a U.S. citizen you need a passport but not a
visa to enter Mexico for up to 90 days. If you are from outside of the U.S. and
you enter the U.S. on a 90 day tourist visa waiver, remember that your time in
Mexico counts as time in the U.S. (in case you pass through the U.S. on your way to Mexico).
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, you must have travel insurance to come on this trip.
It must at least cover emergency medical treatment and emergency evacuation. We
also recommend that it cover luggage and trip cancellation.
When should I book my trip?
As soon as possible! We limit our trips to 7 guests so
call early to make sure one of those seats is yours.
